ALL
MODELS OF THE PREVEX FLAMMABILITY ANALYZER RECEIVE ATEX
APPROVAL
Fairfield, New Jersey
(January 14, 2008) - Control Instruments Corporation’s
complete line of PrevEx Flammability Analyzers, models
SNR671, SNR672, SNR674, and SNR675, all received ATEX
approval. All monitor a number of common vapors and are
unaffected by temperatures in processes as diverse as
flexographic printing and ceramic kilns.
The essence of the PrevEx detection system lies in its
ability to perform accurately under the demands of the
industrial environment. Its unique sensing flame
technology has proven itself to be the most reliable in
the industry, ensuring unmatched safety and ultra-fast
response time, even when sampling a mixture of several
different flammable vapors. It is in recognition to
these exclusive features, that the PrevEx analyzers were
declared compliant with ATEX Directives (the ATEX
Directive embodies the European requirements for
equipment used in potentially explosive atmospheres).
ATEX Declaration of Conformity
The products are in conformity with the following EU
Directives:
89/336/EWG - Electromagnetic Compatibility
73/23/EWG - Low Voltage Directive
94/9/EG - Equipment and Protective Systems Intended For
Use in Potentially Explosive Atmospheres
The following standards and/or normative documents have
also been applied:
