USE the smartmaxii for area MONITORing in chemical
plants
Fairfield, New Jersey (February 20, 2006) – With all the
potential sources for leaks and spills in chemical
plants it is essential to have a continuous hazard
monitoring system in place. In fact a chemical facility
requires a gas detection system that can provide
multiple channels of continuous monitoring for wide area
sensing while offering maximum coverage. The SmartMaxII
from Control Instruments’ is an excellent solution
because it is specifically designed for use in area
monitoring applications.
Hazardous gases or vapor producing liquids are
transported, processed, and stored in chemical plants.
During any of these procedures it’s possible that these
hazardous gases or liquids will accidentally leak into
the production or storage areas. In addition to that the
pumps, control valves, piping systems, manifolds,
expansion joints, flexible connection nozzles and gas
cabinets are also potential sources for leakage. Due to
these circumstances, continuous monitoring becomes an
essential part of keeping the plant safe.
The
SmartMaxII is available for measuring flammable and
toxic gases, as well as oxygen, indoors and outdoors. In
addition just one continuously monitors and controls up
to four independent sensors while displaying multiple
systems remotely.
Some additional features of the SmartMaxII include:
Stand-alone design with built-in alarms and relays,
automatic zero and span calibration, Standard 4-20mA and
RS485 Modbus digital ports, remote access and adjustment
features, and a full-featured display with status
indicators.
