Q3: What type sensor do I have?

Go to the Product Picture Page here.

Q4: How do I return parts for repair?

Click here for the procedure to return material to Control Instruments for repair.

Q5: How often should I calibrate?

If this is not specified by any national codes, your insurance company or local authority, calibrate every month. If the readings do not change every month the time between calibrations may be increased. NOTE: Some sensor types must be calibrated to determine if they are still sensing gas. These sensors should be calibrated more often.

Q6: What value and gas should I use to calibrate?

Check the systems original data page for the value and test gas. If you do not have the system data page contact our sales department with the sensors serial numbers to obtain a new data page.

Q7: How often should I change the filters?

Start by checking the filter every month. If the filter is clean at one month, check every 3 months. If the filter is still clean, check every 6 months and then at 1 year.

Q8: Where can I obtain calibration gas?

Calibration gas can be obtained by calling Control Instruments Sales department or your local specialty gas distributor.

Q9: I received a new Sentron control board and the bypass does not function.

New Sentron monitors and PRB236 control boards do not have active bypass switches. See document H7SEN088 to make the bypass switch active. This document should be included in the manual with the new board or monitor.

Q10: I need service, who do I contact?
